Library Subscription Request

Eligibility. To be eligible, the requester must
(1) be a library affiliated with a law school, a business school, another division of a university, a government agency, or a not-for-profit organization,
(2) certify that it will restrict access to the data, as indicated below,
(3) provide the information indicated below.

Subscriptions are for twelve monthly issues. The cost is $345. We provide the data by email in Excel .xlsx and .csv formats.

After you submit your credit card information, you will receive an automated confirmation of your order. We are usually able to email you your initial copy of the data and documentation on the business day following your request.

Terms and Conditions of Use
  • Access. Access to the database is restricted to students, faculty, and staff of the Subscribing Division.
  • Scope of authorization. Users will use the data only in connection with academic research.
  • Non-disclosure. Each user agrees not to disclose the database or data from the database, except that a user may disclose the database or data from the database, for the purpose of the user’s research, to a co-researcher or a research assistant who has consented to these conditions of use.
  • Acknowledgement. Users will acknowledge the “UCLA-LoPucki Bankruptcy Research Database,” by that or equivalent language, as a data source in any publication or private report based in whole or in part on BRD data.
  • Publication of data. Authorized users may publish, by web-posting or inclusion in the article, any portion of the data that is necessary to reproduce the user’s findings reported in an article in an academic journal that regularly publishes research by university professors.
